Thomas P. Griffin, 77, Dies Here Yesterday
Thomas P. Griffin. 77, died yesterday afternoon here at his home, 202 South Allen Street, following a brief illness. Mr. Griffin, a retired railroad employee, had lived in Macon his entire life.
Funeral services will be held at the Immaculate Church at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning. Services will be conducted by Father Gilfillan, assisted by Father Connors, of Shelbina, and Father Kenny, of Cameron Junction. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery under the direction of Albert Skinner. The body is at the residence where the Rosary will be recited this evening.
Mr. Griffin was born in Macon on Oct. 8, 1868, and was employed for many years in railroad work.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Madonna Griffin; one daughter, Mrs. Leo Staab, of Chillicothe, Ill., one sister, Mrs. Tim Sheets, of Richmond, Ind., and one grandson.
