Viola Lee Staton French was the daughter of Walter Staton and Emma A Stinnett Staton. She was born in Lynchburg, Virginia. She died at age 25 from pneumonia and miscarriage. She was the mother of two children, Walter Herman French and Ruby Pauline French Anderson (my Mom). They were almost 5 and just turned 3 respectively when she died.

Viola does not have a marker but is believed to be buried beside of her husband Thomas Edward French. The cemetery does not have a record as they had a fire at some point and we were told that the records for that time period were destroyed. Her death certificate does state that she was buried at Oakwood.
