Raymond J. Fox, 61, died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday in a local hospital, where he had been a patient since June 20. Mr. Fox had been suffering from a lingering heart ailment for the last five years. In addition to his widow, he leaves behind 11 children.

Born Sept. 30, 1882 in Taylor, Pa.; he was employed in his youth as mining engineer in Scranton, Pa. He married Miss Mary Gavin in 1913 and eight children were born to them, including 2 sets of twins. The twins are Clare Fox of Washington, D.C. and Pfc. William Fox of Buckley Field, Colo.; and Master Sgt. John Fox of Camp Beale, Calif. and Thomas Fox, who is engaged in government work in the Virgin Islands. Other children born to them were Margaret and Grace of Washington, D.C., Madeline, at home, and Pvt. Paul Fox of Randolph Field, TX.

In 1928 his wife died. A year later Mr. Fox came to North Dakota and in 1930 he married the former Dorothy Schneider of Golden Valley. The marriage took place in Bismarck. Three children were born to them; Mary, Anna and James who are all at home.

Mr. Fox also leaves behind two sisters, the Misses Anna and Madeline Fox of New York City.

The body is at Calnan Funeral Home and will remain there until time of the funeral services. Rites will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from St. Mary's pro-cathedral.
