Jacob Zeller 1822-1858

Jacob Zeller was born in 1822 in Elk City, Clarion county, Pennsylvania to Johannes "John" Zeller and Catherine Elizabeth (Kessler) Zeller.

His ten sibling include; Sylvia Zeller, Catharine (Zeller) Swabb, Mariah (Zeller) Butt, Johannes "John" Zeller, Jr., Eliza J. (Zeller) Lehman, Julia Ann Zeller, Frances Elizabeth (Zeller) Baker, Lucy Ann (Zeller) Morrison, Lydia Ann (Zeller) Noble and Henry C. Zeller.

Jacob married Rosanna Cornish in 1846. She was the daughter of Henry Cornish and Susan (Noble) Cornish.

They became the parents to five children; William E. Zeller, who died in infancy, Helen Elizabeth (Zeller) Lilly, Andrew Kessler Zeller, Susan Agnes (Zeller) Sigworth, Thomas Benton Zeller and Simpson Peter Zeller.

Jacob lost his wife in 1857 and he passed in January 1858, leaving his five children orphaned. Jacob's brother, Henry C. Zeller, raised the children for a period of time.

Jacob's son, Andrew Kessler Zeller passed away at the age of 13 and was buried in the Zeller family plot, next to his grandfather, Johannes "John" Zeller.

On January 27, 1870, Issac Baum, guardian of the remaining surviving children (Susan Agnes, Thomas Benton and Simon Peter) authorized the sale of Jacob's farm, which sold for $3,305.00 to Henry C. Zeller.
