Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, December 17 for Clark Cole, a retired farmer, who lived on Route 2, Steele.
Mr. Cole was born August 16, 1878 at Camden, Tenn., but had resided in this community for the past 26 years. He died Friday, December 14, 1951 at Farmington, Mo. He was preceded in death by his wife. His age was 74.
Funeral services were at the Assembly of God Church at Denton. Rev. Robert McGarity officiated. Interment was at Mount Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Elvis Kinley, Lonnie Cobb, John Miller, Newt Green, Walter Key and George Gifford.
He is survived by four sons, Ted and Wayne Cole of Steele, Marcus Cole of Richmond, Calif., and Woodrow Cole of Holtsville, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Francis Atkinson of Manila, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Tom Johnson; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
