Betty Joyce Graves of Idalou departed this life on July 29, 2010 at the age of 83 years. She was born in Quitaque, TX on October 18, 1926 to the late Clive and Hazel Chandler. She has been a resident of Idalou since 1943 and an active member of the First Baptist Church. Upon obtaining her degree as a dietician, she worked for years in the school system, as well as many hospitals.
Her memory will be cherished by three sons, Kelley Graves and wife Linda of Ft. Worth, TX, Gail Graves and wife Joyce of Boise, ID, and Chris Graves and wife Nora of Dumas, TX; one brother, Tom Chandler and wife Shirley of Little Rock, AR; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband J. M. Graves in 1979 and one daughter, Margie Loretta Graves Hibdon in 2001.
