Double funeral services were held at the Pentecostal Church in Steele, Thursday, August 30, 1951 at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Annie Lorene Boone and her two month old daughter, Brenda Kay Boone.

Both mother and daughter died at the Walls Hospital in Blytheville, August 28, 1951. The baby was an only child.

Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include the husband and father, Grady Boone, of Steele. Mrs. Boone also leaves her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pounders of Steele; one brother, James Pounders of Russelville, Alabama; and four sisters, Mrs. Nettie Scott of Vina, Alabama, Mrs. Ruble Mahan of Vina, Alabama, Mrs. Opal George of Red Bay, Alabama, and Mrs. Pauline Heath of Steele.
