He was born September 19, 1950 in Flora, IL to E.O. Fitzgerald and Elsie (Thornton) Fitzgerald.
During his life, Mr. Fitzgerald worked as a newspaper photographer, a roughnecker, worked at a camp, and was a handyman and a painter. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by five children: Roger Fitzgerald, Troy Fitzgerald, Raquel Fitzgerald, Tammy Barry (husband Darren), and U.S. Marine Gunny E 7 Richard Fitzgerald (wife Stephanie); a sister: Beverly Fitzgerald Williams (husband Jerry); two brothers: Jim Fitzgerald, Danny Fitzgerald (wife Glenda); five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents (E.O. and Elsie Fitzgerald) and two brothers (Phillip and Thornton Fitzgerald).
Services for Wilson Roger Fitzgerald will be announced at a later date with burial in Hoosier Prairie Cemetery. Frank & Bright Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
