"Harvey C. Schannauer, 83, Denver R2, died Friday at Ephrata Community Hospital, where he had been a patient for several weeks.
He was the husband of Elsie Gockley Schannauer. Born in West Cocalico Township, he was a son of the late Daniel and Ellen Gress Schannauer.
He was a lifetime resident of West Cocalico, there he was a retired farmer. He was a member of Mellinger's Lutheran Church, Schoeneck, and a former member of the church council.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Jacob S., Denver R2; and daughter, Edith, wife of Charles R. Leed, Seven Valleys R1, York County; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Minnie, wife of Robert Kopp, Akron; and one brother, Irwin, Reinholds R1."
