Mrs. Bonnie J. Halcomb, age 82 of Harrodsburg, Kentucky and formerly of Brodhead, passed away Saturday December 21, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Halcomb was born on August 24, 1931 in Brodhead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Hobert and May Benge Brown. She had worked at Palm Beach Company for thirty years in Danville, Kentucky and as a cook at the former Sowder Nursing Home in Brodhead, Kentucky for over ten years. She enjoyed cooking and her grandchildren, and was a member of the Brodhead Baptist Church.
Mrs. Halcomb is survived by her sons: Michael David Halcomb of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Paul Dean (Tanya) Halcomb of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; Three grandchildren: Kevin Grant Halcomb, Dakota Paul Halcomb and Kasey James Halcomb; Two great-grandchildren: Jared Halcomb, Charles Halcomb and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Halcomb was preceded in death by her husband: Clyde Halcomb, and four brothers: Bernie, David "Dodie", Teddy and Eddie Brown.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie J. Halcomb will be conducted on Tuesday December 24, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Tony Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Bonnie J. Halcomb will be held on Monday December 23, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday December 24, 2013 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
