James Morgan "Buck" Early was the son of Benjamin Francis Early and Mary Belle Montgomery. He was born in Chillicothe, Hardeman, TX, the 6th child of 9. His siblings were Nathan Juble (1915-1992), Joseph Sampson (1917-1962), Herma Lucille (1919-), Gervas Milton (1922-2000), Rebecca Glendene Dunson (1924-2008), Julius Edgar (1930-2011), Lowery Sinclair (1933-2013) and Vera Evelyn Coleman (1935-2010).
He served in the US Navy during World War II.
He married Dorothy "Dottie" Lanham in 1947 in Oregon. (She was previously married to Clarence Alden Pecht - 1 child Patricia). They had 2 children, Sharon and James.
Buck died in an automobile accident and at the time of his death, he was survived by his wife and 2 children, all of his siblings, his parents and maternal grandmother.
