Louis Joseph Boullion, 88, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014, in a local hospital.

He was a native Kaplan and was a resident of Cameron. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Louis was a retired shrimper and had also worked for Phillips 66 Oil Company. He was a US Navy veteran serving in WWII. He loved his French music and being a jokester. Most of all, Louis loved all of his family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Cecil Boullion and wife Natalie, Steven Boullion and wife Leona all of Grand Lake; two daughters, Debra Boullion and Roddy, Cheryl Brown and Robert all of Cameron; one brother, Paul Boullion and wife, Valerie of Tennessee; two sisters, Grace Vinson of Iowa, Nellie Trosclair and husband, David of Lake Charles; 11 grandchildren, Shayla, Luke, Shonie, Lori, Jonathon, Darren, Travis, Scott, Brooke, Brandi and Ali Beth; numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Eleanor Boullion; one son, John Wayne Boullion; his first wife, Louise Boullion; his second wife, Opal Boullion; one brother, Jules Boullion; two sisters, Irene Boudreaux and Amy Mary Sauer.

His funeral will be at 11a.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Tim Goodly will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation is from 4p.m. to 9p.m. Thursday with a rosary at 6:30p.m. in the funeral home and visitation will resume at 8a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
