He was married on October 1, 1932 to the former Mary A. Shell who died July 26, 1971.
He was a member of the Scopus Church of Christ.
He is survived by a son, Dewayne Francis of Jackson, MO; four daughters, Glenda Francis of Grassy, MO; Mrs. Almeda Cooper of Amarillo, TX; Mrs. Vonda J. Hughes of Perryville, MO; and Mrs. Beth Filer of Van Buren, MO; four brothers, Henry and Glenn Francis of Grassy, MO; Gene Francis of Marble Hill, MO; Ralph Francis of Barnhart, MO; two sisters, Mrs. John (Ruby) Rietman of Jackson, MO; and Mrs. Claude (Ruth) Teeters of Cape Girardeau, MO; and six grandchildren.
A sister, Oma Ellen Phillips, and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
Service was held at Baker Funeral Home Monday. Burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park.
