Wife of J. S. Dawson, 229 Spring St., Succumbs This Afternoon
Mrs. Mayme Dawson, wife of J. S. Dawson, passed away at her home, 229 Spring street, at 2:15 o'clock this afternoon, following an illness of several weeks.
Mayme Hauser [sic] was born at Waddams Center, May 22, 1859, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hauser. In 1881 whe was united in marriage to Edmund T. [sic] Stahl. She was later married on August 26, 1916, to J. S. Dawson, who survives. The following children also survive; Mrs. Florence Balderson, Chicago; Clayton Stahl, Lena; Miss Ruby Stahl, Freeport; Harold and Margaret Dawson, Freeport.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Lena, Ill., April 30.---The remains of Mrs. Mayme Dawson who died at her home in Freeport Saturday wee broght to Lena Tuesday and interment was made in Lena Cemetery. The deceased was well known in Lena, having resided here the greater part of her life until her moving to Freeport. Our citizen, Clayton Stahl, is a son of the deceased.
