Born January 28, 1911 in Salt Lake City to Walter Bert and Ada Lily Walk Gray. Married Edna Stevens, September 11, 1933 and solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Worked in the glass business for fifty years and took great pride in caring for his large yard and vegetable garden.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he was a man of integrity and a true friend to all who knew him.
Active member of the LDS Church, he served in numerous capacities. He particularly enjoyed the friendships formed while serving twice as a counselor in the Fairmont Ward Bishopric.
He loved to travel and was happiest when busy with his family, home and church. He will always be remembered for his generosity and sense of humor.
Survived by his wife, Edna; daughters, Jeanie (Vern) Bartschi and Geraldine (Don) Grayston; sons, Lewis, Wallace (Diane), and Bill (Marcia) Gray; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Bauman and Lois Brady, all of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by his brothers Leroy and Henry Gray; two grandchildren, Jefferson and Elizabeth Gray.
Funeral services Monday, January 24, 1994, 12 noon, Fairmont Ward, 2465 South 800 East. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Sunday 5-7 p.m. and at the ward Monday 11-11:45 a.m.
