Nini Roll Anker-She was a Norwegian novelist and playwright. She was born in Molde, as the daughter of stipendiary magistrate and later member of parliament and minister Ferdinand Nicolai Roll. She was married twice, first to land owner Peter Martin Anker, and later to engineer and sailor Johan August Anker. She made her literary debut with the novel I blinde in 1898, using the pseudonym Jo Nein. Among her later novels are Det svake kjøn (1915) and Kvinnen og den svarte fuglen (posthumously, 1945). She died in 1942.
