Robert L. Alcorn, 21,1141 1/2 Liberty Street, died at 6:20 am today in Franklin Hospital, where he'd been five weeks. He had been in ill health for three years. He was born in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County, Jan. 28, 1938, son of Charles L. and Arabell Enterline Alcorn.
He moved to Irwin Township, Venango County, in 1952, residing there until recently. He attended Victory Joint School and was a member of Barkeyville Evangelical United Brethren Church. He had worked at Willard Mathews and Ronald Anderson Trucking Co., and was well and favorably known in the county.
On Sept. 24, 1955, he married Nancy Gregory, who survives, with a daughter, Robin Lee, at home; his parents of Irwin Township; brothers and sisters, Mrs. William (Helen) Geist, Worthville, Mrs. Ray (Jean) Reitz of Dora, Raymond Alcorn, Harrisville RD 1, Richard Alcorn, Grove City RD 4, Mrs. Junior (Deloris) Hessop, Harrisville RD 1, Clarence Alcorn, Clintonville, William Alcorn, Grove City, Shirley, Junior, Donna, Ronnie, and Linda, all at home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Alcorn; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be a t 2 pm Wednesday at Buchanan-Schmidt Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
