Mark Edward Ray, 64, of Richmond, died at 6:26 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Reid Hospital in Richmond.

Born February 17, 1949, he was the son of Carroll and Margie O. (Henderson) Ray. He was a project coordinator and production controller at NWSC Crane. He was a member of the First Christian Church and enjoyed hunting, volleyball, softball and golf.

Survivors include a son, Brant Ray of Bedford; a step-daughter, Trisha Holmes of Maryland; a sister, Beverly Kasprzak and husband, Ken of Grafton, WI; two nieces, Beth Froelich of Port Washington, WI and Melanie Gram of Coral Springs, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3 pm Thursday, January 9th at Mt. Pleasant Christian Cemetery with Pastor Alan Cloar officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from Noon until 2:30 pm on Thursday, January 9th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Shalom Center, 620 S. Walnut Street, Bloomington, IN 47401.
