Glen Wild - Joseph Daniel Acton, 52, of Glen Wild Road, a retired interior decorator, died Thursday in Hamilton Avenue Hospital, Monticello.

A resident of Glen Wild for five years, he was born July 17, 1920 in Hawley, Pa., to Joseph E. and Ida Smith Acton. He married Beatrice Cooper. Mr. Acton attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Constance Mosher of South Carolina; Mrs. Joyce Grudzias of Monticello; Mrs. Judy Lasch of Cuddebackville; Mrs. Patricia McGausland of Derby, Conn., and Mrs. Dee Decker of Port Jervis; his mother, Mrs. Ida Acton of Port Jervis; three brothers, Arnold, of Richmond, Va. and Robert and Maurice, both of Mountaindale; three sisters, Mrs. Claire King and Mrs. Norma Schaefer, both of Port Jervis and Mrs. Dorothy Tibbitts of Shelton, Conn.; 14 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 2 Sunday in the Knight Funeral Home, Port Jervis, with the Rev. Paul Hubbard of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Port Jervis officiating. Burial will be in Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville.
