Graveside services for Mr. Charles E. Holland, 74, of Minden will be held today, Dec. 8, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden with the Rev. Jim Phillips and the Rev. Don Woodard officiating.
Visitation was held Sunday December 7 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Mr. Holland entered rest on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008.
After serving four years in the United States Marines, he worked in the building materials industry for many years. He retired from Lepper Stutsman in 1999.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Alta Holland of Wisner, La.
Mr. Holland is survived by his wife of 45 years, Eva Johnson Holland; son, Christopher Derryl Holland and wife Cheri of Minden; daughter, Delisa and husband Brian McGuire of Monroe; four grandchildren, Emilee Hannah McGuire, John David McGuire, Taylor Nicole Holland and Jesica Grigsby.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Chandler, nurses at the ICU at Minden Medical Center, nurses at Rehab and aids who cared for him with patience and love. You were great. God bless you all — The Holland family.
