Junior died Saturday morning, February 19, 1994 at St Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness.
Alexander Neily Kenny was born July 24, 1924 near Hopkinton, the son of Alexander and Agnes Jane Calderwood Kenny. Junior graduated from the Hopkinton High School in 1942. he then started farming near Hopkinton.
Alexander Kenny and Delores Smith were married October 15, 1948 at the Hopkinton methodist Church. The couple farmed for several years. In 1955, Junior started his milk hauling business. He operated his business for 32 years, retiring in 1987.
Surviving are his wife, Delores; five children: Bill, Denver, Colorado; Gary, Peru, Illinois;Cindy Weber and Mari Mohr, both of Hopkinton; and Steve, Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren: Michelle, Megan and Adam Weber; Ryan, Miranda and Robbie Mohr; and two sisters: Sadie Kirby, Bernard; and Mae Roskamp, Cedar Falls.
Preceeding him in death were his parents; and a brother Wilford.
Casket bearers were David Kenny, Scott Smith, Larry Britt, Robert Kirby, Richard Kirby, Kenneth Smith and Rick Smith.
