Lavon had lived here most of her life. She was a member of the Brittains Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for 14 years, and was well known for her beautiful yard.
Preceded in death by her husband, James W. Duff; her parents, Isaac Ford and Sarah Emily Ford; two brothers, Edd and Theodore Ford; two sisters, Edna Luttrell and Lorene Kidd; and one grandson, Wayne Isaac Duff, II.
Survivors include three children, James Bruce Duff and wife, Linda, Louisville; Wayne Duff and wife, Cindy, New Tazewell; and Deraya “Dee Dee“ Duff of Ages; and one sister, Delphene Spangler, Knoxville.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Maverick Ulbrich; Skylar Blankenship; Destiny Duff; Georgia Lavone Duff; Stacy Duff Kron and husband, Michael, Jr.; James B.
