Bobby J. Sherrer, 80, was born August 23, 1933 in Chambers County, Alabama, to the late James and Minnie Lee Sherrer. He went home to be with his Lord on January 5, 2014 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his brother, Chester Sherrer.
He was a data processing manager for many years at Diversified Products, a member of Purpose Baptist Church, and an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janelle Sherrer; his children, Robbie Sherrer (Briana), Steven Sherrer, Joni DeLoach (Billy), and Scotty Sherrer; his sisters, Shirlene Ratcliff and Patricia Snider; his grandchildren, Holli, Christopher, Heather, Brandon, Jeremy, and Zachary; and his great-grandchildren, Ally, Bella, Miles, Jaxon, Layne, Cameron, Jaycie, Bailey, and one on the way; and a special niece Mary Bannister.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 5-7 pm in the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Parlor.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11 am in the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Lynn McClain, and Brother Jackie Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Lanett City Cemetery, in Lanett, Alabama.
