GEORGE WEST - Anselmo "Mitto" Alaniz, former owner of El Comedor Cafe, George West, and a member of St. George Catholic Church, George West, died Aug. 18, 2001. He was 52.
Survivors include his wife, Consuelo; two daughters, Kari Alaniz of George West and Melissa Tanguma of Three Rivers; a son Anselmo Alaniz III of George West; his mother, Caroline Alaniz of George West; three sisters, Gloria Shaw of Sedgwick, Kan., Louisa Brown and Rosie Alaniz, both of George West; and a grandchild.
