Michael Matuszczak, 89, R.D. 2, Lowville, died Monday, Mar, 16, at the Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville. Spring burial will be in Lowville Rural Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Bessie; a son Robert, Ormond Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Dekin, four brothers, Anthony, and Chester, both of Lowville, Steve, Port Leyden, and Walter, Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Lottie Putz, Lowville. A son, Edmund, died at birth, and a daughter, Mrs. Jean Donaldson, died in 1982. Three brothers, Teofil, John and Joseph, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Campany and Mrs. Victoria Bandych, also died before him. Born in Poland on Sept. 14 1897, son of Kasper and Mary Matuszczak. Mr. Matuszczak joined the Army in 1917. He served until receiving an honorable discharge. He married Bessie Zawatski on June 14, 1923
