John J. Cornish, 100, 400 Lois St., died Friday in the Colonial Nursing Home. Services were held in the Chapel of the Kerrville Funeral Home Monday afternoon with Revs. Bill Heeriein and Paul L. Owens officiating. Interment was in the Garden of Memories.
Born Jan. 19, 1876 in Mulberry Grove, Ill., he was a retired farmer and building contractor. He had lived here over 40 years and operated his own automobile until he reached the age of 92.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harriett L. Bennett of Kerrville; Son-in-law, Arthur H. Byerly of Kerrville; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
