George Jackson Anderson Sr was born on September 10, 1932 in Tennessee, the son of Robert E Anderson (1877-1964) and Lois Wilson (Powell) Anderson (1896-1933) of Columbia County, Georgia.

A long-time resident of Augusta, Georgia, he was a former member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in that city and was a long time Civil Defense employee at Fort Gordon, Georgia.

He was married about 1953 to Billie Ann Williams.

George was 84 years old and a resident of Franklin, Tennessee when he passed away on January 4, 2014 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

Preceded in death by his parents and twelve siblings, he was survived by his wife; married daughter; married son; sister; a number of granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Augusta, with burial in Harlem City Cemetery at Harlem, Georgia.
