Aloysius C. Hemler, a prominent citizen of Mt. Pleasant. township, died at his home, near Mt. Rock, at 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday from a complication of diseases, aged 46 years, 4 months and 7 days.
He was a son of Aloysius Hemler of the same township, and is survived by his wife, whose maiden name was Miss Irene Hemler, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hemler, and the following children: Edna M., Carrie M., Mrs. Elsie C. Schrader, Annie M., Grace M., Albert J., Curvin S., Edith L., Gladys R. and Harry E. Hemler. Also, by one brother, Frank X. Hemler, and the following sisters: Mrs. A. Brady, Mrs. Frank C. Smith, Mrs. Frank J. Smith, and Mrs. George H. Little.
Mr. Hemler was a consistent member of Sacred Heart church, Conewago, a member of the Gettysburg, Bonneauville and Sacred Heart Beneficial Associations. He served as school director of Mt. Pleasant township for fourteen years, which position he held at the time of his death.
Funeral, Saturday, Dec 6, high requiem mass in Conewago Chapel at 9 a.m., by Rev. Germanus Kohl. Interment in Chapel cemetery.
