Sarah Gold was the ninth child, and youngest daughter of Daniel Gold and Frances Griffin Christopher. She was born in a part of Rutherford County that in 1841 became Cleveland County, North Carolina. Her parents moved to North Carolina from Mecklenburg County, Virginia about 1798 – 1799. Her parental ancestors immigrated to the American Colonies from England prior to the Revolutionary War.
She was born about 1814 and although the exact date of her death is not known, it is known that her will was dated 29 August 1864 and was probated in November 1864.
The three children of Sarah and husband Elias P. Owens are listed on his page.
She was a sister to my paternal great-grandfather William Moore Gold.
