Mrs. Anna Larson

Mrs. Ann Larson passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oscar Alstrom in Baldwin last Sunday evening, January 11, about 7:40. She had been residing with her daughter for the past few years, coming here from Oscoda. She had been ill with a diabetic condition for the past three years.

Funeral services were held from the old Larson family home in Oscoda at 1:30 and from the Oscoda Evangelical Lutheran church at 2:00 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. Carl E. Leitzke of Grace Lutheran church of East Tawas officiating. Interment was made in the Oscoda cemetery.

She was born in Vesige, Sweden March 17, 1862 and was 85 years of age. She came to Oscoda in 1883 and was united in marriage to Lars Larson in Oscoda on June 23, 1883. The family resided there since.

Six children were born to this union, all of whom are living: four dauthers, Mrs. Selma Alstrom of Baldwin, Miss Sophia Larson of Caro, Mrs. Hildur Poppe and Miss Esther Larson of Raoyal Oak; two sons, Ernest of Tawas Point and Jack Larson of Oscoda. She also leaves ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
