1922 - 2010 NORTH ADAMS Donald R. Goodrow, 87, of 358 West Main St., North Adams, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the home of his caregiver, Connie Garvie, 139 Liberty St. Mr. Goodrow had also resided in Cheshire for many years.

Born in Adams, Sept. 4, 1922, son of William F. and Frances M. Barron Goodrow, he was educated in North Adams schools. He served in the Army during World War II.

Mr. Goodrow bought and sold real estate for many years, and owned various rental properties in North Adams. He had worked at the former L.L. Brown Paper Co. in Adams.

He enjoyed gardening, farming and animals.

Mr. Goodrow was predeceased by his former wives, Dorothy M. Reid Goodrow in 2007 and Beatrice Parrott Goodrow in 2009, and by his brothers.

He leaves a daughter, Donna Martyn of Yarmouthport; four sisters, Eva, Frances, Lorraine, and Gladys; as well as several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service will be held in the spring in Cheshire Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Goodrow may be made to Berkshire Humane Society in care of DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire, MA 01225.
