On October 27, 1908 as Abbott Boone, he married Laura Stevens at Liberty County, Texas.
They were the parents of one child. Their marriage ended in divorce.
On September 20, 1916, Lieut. Abbott Boone married Mrs. Teresa Drexel McClintic at Fort McKinley in the Philippine Islands. They were the parents of one child who died in 1919.
His second marriage was to Miss Gertrude Hobby McLaws sometime between 1920 and 1924.
On January 4, 1929 as Abbott Boone, he remarried his first wife who was now Mrs. Laura Stevens Storey at Harris County, Texas.
Their marriage ended in divorce in August 1930.
On June 19, 1936 as Abbott Boone, he married Grace Edith Kirkwood at Los Angeles County, California.

He was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from 1942 to 1943.
