Son of "Mat" Mathew (Mathias) Sewald and "Anni" Ana Sotosek Sewald.

His parents immigrated to the USA, May 23th 1912 from Croatia Yugoslavia with their two daughters Jenny and Louise, leaving behind their first born daughter with her grandmother to follow, which never happend.

His father´s original name was Mateo Sostaric, the name was changed to Sewald when the citizenship was gained in 1921.

Brother of Jenny, Luise, William (Wilhelm), Wilma, Rudolph, Alex, Charly and twin brother Albert.

Father of Susanne and Ralph Dieter. He was preceded in death by his son.

Grandfather of Marc, Sabrina and Alisha.

He served in the United States Air Force and in the Army for 24 years.
He is a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

After his separation from service, he worked for Sears in Killeen Texas and then settled with his family in Germany and worked for 23 years at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service in Stuttgart.
He retired 1993 and went to Carlsbad New Mexico to stay with his twin brother Al. Sadly Al passed away the same year.
Edward lived in Albq. till his death.

My Dad was a gifted photographer and hobbiest. He loved to collect things, stamps, coins, antiques, fossils, just everything that was old. He would always say, somebody´s trash is somebody´s treasure.
