Hazleton Plain Speaker; Monday, May 12, 1941:
Robert Bruce Wallace, of Whispering Pines, Pocono Pines, died at the Hazleton State Hospital yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, following a stroke he suffered at 11:30 o'clock yesterday morning. He was born in Beaver Valley, the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Wallace, who later resided on North Wyoming street, this city. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church, and the Masons Ezel Lodge, of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War and served in the U.S. Army during the World War.

His wife, who was formerly Amelia Sutton, died in 1934, and he is survived by the following children: Elizabeth, Robert, Frank, Jack and Bert, all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three grandchildren, and the following sisters: Mrs. Anna Hess, Mrs. Helen Johnson, of Drums; Mrs. Carrie Winters, Mrs. Mary Gross, of Brooklyn; Mrs. Jessie Bachman, of this city.

Although final funeral arrangements have not been completed, services will probably be held Wednesday from the Bachman Brothers Funeral Home, with interment in the Vine street cemetery.
