Howard, a well-known and respected farmer living near Lucerne, was born in Putnam County on April 1, 1891, and died at a hospital in Centerville, Iowa on January 23, 1953, where he was taken for treatment. Funeral services were conducted at the Comstock Funeral Home in Unionville beginning at half past one o'clock on Monday afternoon with Rev. J. H. Houston, pastor of the local Baptist Church, is charge of the
