VINCENT ADAMO, 80, RETIRED BANK VICE PRESIDENT

Vincent E. Adamo, 80, of Spring Lake Heights, N.J., a native Staten Island resident, died yesterday at home.
Born in Stapleton, Mr. Adamo moved to Lighthouse Hill in 1966 and settled in Spring Lake Heights in 1983. He also maintained a winter residence in Boynton Beach, Fla.
He was a graduate of the former Augustinian Academy, Grymes Hill.
Mr. Adamo was in the Navy during World War II, serving in naval intelligence in the Pacific Theater.
He retired in 1981 from his job as vice president of the appraisal department of Chase Manhattan Bank, Manhattan. Mr. Adamo worked for the bank for 25 years.
A lifetime member of the Tappen Post, American Legion, Stapleton, Mr. Adamo was also a member of the American Cancer Society. He served as past president of the Greater New York Chapter of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers and past director of the New York District of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. He was a former member of the Staten Island Real Estate Board.
Mr. Adamo enjoyed golf.
He was a parishioner of St. Catherine's R.C. Church, Spring Lake Heights, and a former parishioner of St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Richmond.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth M. Parker; two sons, Dr. Vincent B. and Gregory J. Adamo; a daughter, Laura Ann Tarasewich; a sister, Marguerite Adamo, and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Meehan Funeral Home, Spring Lake Heights, with a 9 a.m. mass at St. Catherine's Church. Burial will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall, N.J.
