He was a native of Edna, but had lived in Comfort for the last 12 years. His death occurred Sunday at the Peterson Hospital after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife, four daughters, and five sons, one of whom, Lorand Cooper lives in Kerrville, a brother, 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
