DR ELLIOTT DIES IN CALIFORNIA Goldfield Newspaper May 7, 1917. Was Elected State Senator for Esmeralda County in 1914

J.R. Rock formerly associated in mining with Dr B.F. Elliott, state senator from Esmeralda county, last nigh received a telegraph announcing the death of Dr. Elliott of Paradise, Butte county, Cal. since he left Goldfield some time ago, Dr Elliott's friends here have from time to time received word that he was in poor health and of late the seriousness of his condition has been known. He went to Paradise following the close of the legislative session at Carson.

Dr. Elliott was among the first dentists to enter Goldfield, coming here in December 1906. In January 1907, he entered into partnership with Dr J.V. Ducey and the firm built up a large and lucrative practice. The partnership dissolved and in 1914 Dr. Elliott was elected to the state senate on the democratic ticket.contributed by John Elliott

Dr. Benjamin Frank "B F" Elliott, Dentist in Goldfield and Nevada Senator 1914-1917. He married Olive Rose Crowley, daughter of Charles C & Minnie Crowley in San Francisco, CA on 19 Dec 1910. They didn't have any children. Olive's father operated the San Carlos Hotel in Goldfield, Nevada

Chico Record, Tuesday Morning, May 8, 1917, pg 8 col 5: Inquest Conducted Over Elliott's Body. The coroner's jury which heard the inquest over the remains of Senator Franklin Elliott of Goldfield, Nev., who died recently at Paradise, rendered a verdict of death caused by splenic leugemia [sic leukemia]. Dr. P.F. Bullington performed the autopsy.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Fetters & Williams undertaking parlors. Readers of the Christian Science church will conduct the services. The local lodge of Masons will conduct the services at the grave.

39-year-old Benjamin Frank Elliott was interred, per the Chico Cemetery Association Records, in the plot noted, on May 8, 1917.
