Elizabeth E. Combs, 89, passed away on Thursday July 25th. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey and raised in Dover, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Seacord. Elizabeth retired from the New York State Office of General Services after many years of service. She was an avid knitter, and also loved to crochet and play bingo. Elizabeth also loved to travel to Vermont, but her greatest love of all was being surrounded by her family especially her grandchildren.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her two husbands Edwin Combs, and Edward Smith, who she had seven children with; Edward Jr. (Mary) Smith, Rosemary (Fred) Nichols, Roger (Dianne) Smith, Richard (Debora) Smith, James Smith, Geraldine (Chris) Clingerman, and Becky Smith. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Donations may be made in Elizabeth's name to Meals on Wheels of Albany County, 25 Delaware Ave. Albany, NY 12202.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday July 31 at 10 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.) Calling hours will precede the service from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
