She married Clarence K. LaShelle on July 29, 1878 in Carroll County, Illinois. She was the head of the Red Cross in Shannon, Illinois. They had one daughter, Perle LaShelle.

Mrs. Anna LaShelle, 80, died suddenly at 4:45 Friday (18 Aug 1939) afternoon while aiding a neighbor, Mrs. John Smith of Shannon, peel peaches for canning.
Mrs. LaShelle, who had been in good health and active despite her age, had gone to the Smith home for a visit and offered to help her neighbor. While she was working she suddenly complained of not feeling well and died almost instantly.
She had been making her home with a daughter, Miss Perle LaShelle.
Mrs. LaShelle was born at Nyack, N.Y., but had lived most of her life in Shannon. She was a member of the Evangelical missionary society and had been a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also was president of the Shannon Red Cross chapter and was a charter member of the Ladies’ Fancywork club.
Surviving are a brother, Henry Osborne of Shannon, and the daughter with whom she resided.
