Barbara B. Sulanke, 68, of Richmond and formerly of Waynesboro, Pa., passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, H.R. Sulanke; four sons, Douglas Sulanke (Tracey), Mark Sulanke (Victoria), Matthew Sulanke, Geoffrey Sulanke (Jennifer); seven grandchildren, Claire, Adam, Caroline, Tanner, Randy, Luke, Ellen; her mother, Alberta Riddlesberger Barkley; a brother, William W. Barkley III; sister, Roberta B. Elchak, and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara worked 17 years in various elementary schools in Chesterfield County. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Bliley's- Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16 at Providence UMC, 901 S. Providence Rd., Richmond, Va. 23236. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Texas 75265.
