Jimmy lived in Scottdale, GA. He became ill and died at age 5 of unknown illness at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. He was a sweet little boy, quiet and shy. The only photo known to exist of him was on his tombstone at the cemetery. Unfortunately, vandals broke the glass and destroyed the photograph of this little boy. He was sitting on a spotted pony in the photo. He was dressed in a cowboy outfit.

He was the son of Lawson Rice and Annie Dingler Rice. He was the grandson of Charlie Lee Rice and Bessie Adelaide Alexander Rice.
