Carol Dean Hill Page, 62, passed away Monday, February 3, 1997, surrounded by her family and friends due to complications from a stroke.

She was born April 22, 1934 in Kaysville, a daughter of Joseph Melvin and Cora Pearl Flint Hill. She married Wayne Stoker Page on July 24, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.

She was a lifelong resident of the Layton/Kaysville area, and a graduate of Davis High School. She was an active member of the LDS Valley View Fourth Ward, where she had held numerous positions.

Carol Dean served for 18 years as Davis County Recorder, from 1979 until her death. As recorder, she held a number of positions and offices, including president of the Utah Association County Recorders. She was actively involved in the Republican party, and served as second Vice President of the Utah Association of County Recorders.

She enjoyed all sports and was an example of physical fitness to everyone. She especially enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participating in all their activities.

She was dedicated to her family, friends, work and religion. Everyone always felt welcome in her home. She was an inspiration to all that knew her. Carol Dean lived her life to the minute. She was the core of the family and she committed her life to raising her family in a way that would be pleasing unto the Lord.

Carol Dean is survived by her husband, Wayne of Layton; sons, Kent (Marsha) Page, Roy; Thomas (Lesa) Page, Kaysville; Curtis (Janette) Page, Layton; Tyler (Jennifer) Page, California; and her daughter-in-law, Denise Page; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Richard, Joseph and Jack Hill; and one sister, Ramona Gailey. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dale, Rex, and Layton; and one sister, LaRee Stoker.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 1997, at 11 a.m. at the Layton Holmes Creek Stake Center, 125 South Chapel St. Family and friends may call Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and Saturday, at the chapel, from 9 to 10:45 Interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery.

Mom, you will be missed, but it's like you always said, "Families are Forever."
