Albert Holman Sr, 84, of Greeley, died June 15 in North Shore Manor in Loveland.

He was born July, 27, 1905 in Marienfeld Russia to Joseph and Barbara Bileman Holman.

He married Elizabeth Kramer, Jan. 19, 1925. She preceded him in death, Oct. 20, 1973. He then married Katherine Schenfeld in January, 1975. She preceded him in death in September 1983.

He came to the United States in 1911 from Russia. He lived in Kansas, Denver, and farmed in Brighton until 1952, when he moved to Kersey and farmed there. He moved to Greeley in 1978. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by sons, Albert Holman Jr of Loveland, Joe Holeman of Brighton, Jack Holman of Kersey, Jim Holman of Greeley; daughters, Betty Baum of Denver and Mrs. Barbara Claus of Greeley; sisters, Rose Herrman of Thornton, Ann Yeager and Barbara Urban of Northglenn and Mary Herrman of Commerce City; 30 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Foster, and brothers, Jake and Adam Holman.

Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. tonight at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Stoddard Funeral Home in Greeley in charge of arrangements.
