The Rev. Glenn G. Goshorn, 78, of Worthington and formerly of Pennsylvania, died at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Bloomington Hospital. Born July 6, 1925, in Clay City, he was the son of Robert and Evelyn (Gillaspy) Goshorn. He was a pastor, serving churches of the Brethren Faith in Florida, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Indiana. He retired when he was pastor of the West Greentree Church of the Brethren in Rheems, Penn. He was a 1950 graduate of Purdue University, and worked several years for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Florida State Department of Agriculture. He attended the Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church in Worthington and maintained a membership at Little Swatara Church in Rehersburg, Penn. Survivors include his wife, Velma (Bailey) Goshorn of Worthington; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Julie Goshorn of Spencer; two sisters, Wanda McDougle of San Antonio, Texas, and Zona Cafferata of Eureka, Calif.; a brother, Martin Goshorn of Bloomington; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Robert and Katherine Goshorn of Columbia City; two grandsons, Evan Goshorn of Stinesville and Cpl. Michael Goshorn of Okinawa, Japan; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois (Frantz) Goshorn; two sisters, Laura Brothers and Claire Jean Fulk; and his parents. Memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church in Worthington with the Rev. Mel Camp officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Worthington Cemetery.
