Harrison Randolph, aged 81 years, is dead at his home in Covington from a complication of diseases and the infirmities of age. Mr. Randolph was a native of this county and was born on Silver Island in Fulton township, September 11, 1836. He passed away on Monday morning. He was a successful farmer but has been living a retired life for several years. In politics, Mr. Randolph is a Republican and was always true to the principles of his party. He was a member of the county board of commissioners several years ago and held other offices of trust. he was a man whom everybody respected for his honesty, integrity and kindness. He was generous to the poor and a willing supporter of that which for public benefit. He was one of those old pioneers whose face and influence live long after they have been laid to rest. Two children, a son, Stephen Randolph, of Newtown, and a daughter, Mrs. James Riley, of Milford, Illinois, survive. The Funeral was held in the Methodist church at 11:00 o'clock Wednesday morning, and burial was made in the Silver Island cemetery.
