Dean Paul Baughan Arcadia Dean Paul Baughan of Arcadia, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 26, 2013 at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. Born on December 5, 1936 in Williamston, MI to William and Leona (Barrett) Baughan, Dean graduated from Williamston High School, class of 1955, and served in the U.S. Air Force. Dean took great pride in working hard, whether it be in his career as a skilled tool and dye maker, or in his home life. He was a member and past president of the Willamston Lion's Club. Dean was an active wildlife conservationist, and enjoyed hunting with friends and family members, tending to his private farm, and golfing. He also loved fixing anything with a motor, building his log home, walking in the woods, and spending time with his faithful dog Eddie. Dean married Yvonne Clairevena Mitchell in Cape Cod, MA. Their 30-year union brought him three daughters, Terry (1961), Kim (1964), and Lisa (1965). Dean was preceded in death by Colin Babcock of Arcadia, MI (grandson); Troy Eaton (nephew); William and Leona [Barrett] Baughan (Parents); Ronald Baughan (brother) and his wife Connie (Avery); Tom Cassaday (brother-in-law) all of Williamston, MI; Norma Fetterolf of Chelsea, MI (sister). Dean will be missed by his surviving family --- daughters Terry (Kent) Babcock of Arcadia, MI; Kim (Kenneth) Baughan-Young of Clear Lake Oaks, CA; and Lisa (Daniel) Gabel of San Rafael, CA, his grandchildren Brandon and Amanda Babcock of Arcadia, MI, sisters Patricia (Dale) Graham of Lansing, MI; Susan (Russell) Cockerill and Virginia (Tom) Cassaday of Williamston MI; Julie (Herb) Shear of Zeeland, MI; and brother-in-law Carlos Fetterolf of Chelsea, MI; He also leaves behind a large extended family. Services are to be held on Saturday, January 4, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arcadia. The visitation will be 11:00-12:00, a service officiated by Ted Beiderwieden at 12:00-12:30, and a luncheon at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates any donations in Dean's name to MUCC (Michigan United Conservation Club at www.MUCC.org).
