Leslie C. Allford, 58, 2101 La-Rita Lane, died unexpectedly Friday [October 26] at his home.
He had been employed 33 years at Guide Lamp Division and was a tool and die maker. Born in Hancock County, he had lived here most of his life.
Mr. Allford was a member of the Ingalls Christian Church, Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge, Anderson Elks Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, UAW Local 663 and a number of Masonic Organizations.
Surviving are the widow, Helen J. Jarrett Allford; three step-children, Gary Jarrell, at home; Mrs. Donald (Jacque) Bliss, Valparaiso, and Michael Jarrett, Middletown, a step-grandchild and several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Mrs. Ross Melson and Mrs. Kenneth Wales, both of Anderson.
Friends will be received at the Baker Brothers Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday, and services will be there at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
