Prayer services for Maria V. Lopez, 85, of Idalou will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Idalou.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Primera Iglesia Bautista with the Rev. Jose Luis Najera officiating.
Burial will be in Idalou Cemetery under the direction of White Funeral Home of Idalou.
She died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002.
She was born Nov. 18, 1917, in Mercedes, where she attended schools. She moved to Idalou from Weslaco in 1954. She married Jose Lopez in 1941 in Idalou. He died in 1974. She was a homemaker and a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista.
Survivors include two brothers, Jacinto Vasquez and Guadalupe Vasquez, both of Lubbock; and a sister, Cipriana Ramirez of Lubbock.
The body will be at at the church from 10 a.m. today until service time.
