"LIEN -- James R. Lien, 58, of 301 East Armour, died last night at his home after an illness of two years. He was born in Harmony [sic], Minn., and had lived in Kansas City 33 years. The last 30 years he had been chauffeur for Achbishop Edwin V. O'Hara. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Lien of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Olga Olson and Mrs. Frances Splittstoeser of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Alice Flofid of Little Falls, Minn., and Mrs. Esther Enders of Libby, Mont.; and three brothers, Earl Lien of Chehalis, Wash., Orin Lien of Richmond, Va., and George Lien of Northfield, Minn. Services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Saturday at the Mellody-McGilley-Eylar chapel, and at 10 o'clock at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery."
